Review: Sea Of Stars - An Instant Classic, So Much More T.ĭouble Dragon Advance, Super & Collection Announced For S.īest Nintendo Switch Soulslikes - Games To Play If You Li. Whew! sorry for rambling.īest Nintendo Switch Roguelikes, Roguelites And Run-Based.īest Nintendo Switch Graphics - The Most Beautiful Switch.īest Switch Ports - The Most Impressive Ports On Nintendo. Along with Better motion Gyro controls that actually have a reference(aka a sensor bar like the Wii did) unlike the Switch Pro controller and duel sense controller which typically arent' reliable. I wan't zero motion blur, 4k motion clarity, 3D, and 120fps. That's the other missing ingredient with current TV's imo. Sniffles* lol And i hope they eventually bring an advanced form of stereoscopic 3D back too, to make it feel like we're peaking through a window into a virtual game world. I yearn for the day when TV's will once again be motion blur free, just as they were with CRT's back in the 80's, 90's and early to mid 2000's. If they bumped it up to 65", i'd be all in with an RTX4090. LG does have a 240hz 45" OLED computer display, which is the holy grail for OLED motion handling, but the screen size is just too small for me personally. Sure, 144fps still won't deliver a motion blur-free experience like CRT did for 30+ years, but it's the best larger sized OLED's can do. 60fps looks great on CRT & plasma, but in most cases it looks pretty terrible on OLED. It's essential if you value motion, and i usually can't stand gaming without 120 or 144. OLED motion is nothing short of terrible, I can't stand the motion blur, but 144fps creams around 60% percent of it, while delivering over 2x the motion clarity, reducing lag down to 4ms and giving you that buttery smooth realistic motion. I mean lets face it, modern sample and hold displays like OLED need all the help they can get with motion, due to their inherent high motion blur and low motion clarity. Sat 5th Aug all the way(Although XSX and PS5 can easily handle boomer shooters at 120fps since they're not graphically demanding, at all)especially if you're a huge fan of high frame rates, like 144fps as it's essentially a 4 in one upgrade. Meanwhile, DOOM 64, Duke Nukem 3D World Tour and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil sit somewhere in the middle for me. 120fps, 4K, Haptics and Adaptive trigger support pwetty please. I just wish they'd get the same upgrades/treatment on PS5. In the end, as far as old school boomer shooter remasters go, I totally prefer DOOM, DOOM II & Power Slave over Quake. The next logical step forward would be to plunk it in VR. The sheer amount of options, upgrades and features makes it a must have for fans of the game. But i can still acknowledge how much effort was thrown into it. Something about it's depressing brooding hellish sulking atmosphere and mud colored dreary sterile-ish environments and music really bums me out. Switch version is still great though, and you have the luxury of playing in hand held and table top mode. I can't stress this enough.), doubles motion clarity, has 60 more fps for life-like buttery smooth motion as if you're looking through a window into a virtual game world(This is what you call NextGen special magic sauce) and cuts latency in half to 5ms, which makes the controls 2x as responsive as if you're nearly gaming on a CRT tube TV), Better haptics, adaptive trigger support, the same great gyro aiming as the Switch version, and is displayed in 4K too. Bests the Switch version(I've got both) as it supports 120fps(Creams 50% of OLED motion blur, which is a god send, like seriously. The PS5 port of Quake remastered is pefect. Included in this one is an enhanced version of Quake II, a brand-new 'Call of the Machine' campaign, local and online multiplayer, cross-play and (perhaps most exciting of all) it also includes Quake II 64 for free. Update : After many rumours and much speculation (see original article below), Quake II has just been released onto the Switch eShop - yes, it's available to download right now!įollowing on from the first game in the series which came to Switch back in 2021 (also shadow-dropped at QuakeCon, we might add), this sequel comes as part of a pretty meaty package. The comparatively high costs of the dragon creature cards can be absorbed well by the high mana count in the deck, further support is provided by the Dragonmaster Outcast, the Dragonspeaker Shaman or the Dragonlord’s Servant. Shivan Hellkite allows with its activated ability to inflict damage on Vrondiss to generate dragon spirit tokens. If this card is used later in the game, when several dragons (tokens) have already found their way into the game and are destroyed or targeted, good damage can be generated. The Regent, on the other hand, offers for a relatively low mana cost (2RR) the ability to inflict three points of damage to a player as soon as a dragon becomes the target of an opponent’s spell or ability. If you look at D&D lore, the Skyline Despot is reminiscent of some of the first dragons, which have the reputation of being able to create their own kind. In combination with Klauth, the Despot can be a very strong combo-card, but the cost of this card, 5RR, can be a deterrent if you don’t cast it from a mana ability. It doubles the damage dealt to a player or a permanent. The second one is similar to Furnace of Rath, but unlike it, it does not target your own creatures. Anger‘s ability gives haste if the player controls Mountains and the incarnation creature is in his graveyard. A first look at the red cards reveals two reprints from older editions, including Anger and Gratuitous Violence.īoth provide the player with a good base for high damage and fast-moving attacks. The composition of the two mana colours red and green makes sense for an aggressively conceived and built deck. The distribution of cards in the deck is divided into 40 lands, which can be a large number for commander decks, nine artifact cards, eight enchantment cards, 17 sorceries and instant spells, and 26 creatures, which ultimately complete the deck. It should be noted that it is a nice Easteregg for the lore of the deck to include a barbarian who is widely known in the Forgotten Realms for slaying a white dragon and stealing its hoard. Thus, Wulfgar fits into many green-red decks that are aggressive and rely on effects triggered by and in combat phases. His ability is a strong support for the rest of the deck and its play style – no matter if Wulfgar is played as commander or regular creature – because every triggered Ability of a permanent, which is triggered by attacking creatures, is effected another time. The third commander possibility is Wulfgar of Icewind Dale, a legendary barbarian penned by R. Combined with Skyship Stalker or Scourge of Valkas, this ability has deadly potential. In a deck named after dragons, a large mana pool provides the basis for strengthening your board and generating high attack power. This cost seems very high, but it is compensated by his ability.Įach time Klauth attacks, the player controlling him may add X mana to his mana pool in any colour combination, where X is the total power of the attacking creatures. For seven mana, 5RG, you can put this dragon, equipped with haste and flying, into play. The mechanics of this legendary creature head in a completely different direction than those of Vrondiss. The second possible commander is a legendary dragon, Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient. Thus, the Commander can be played both passively-defensively and actively-aggressively. Once a die is rolled, Vrondiss inflicts a point of damage on himself, this triggers his main ability to put a 5/4 green-red Dragon Spirit token into play each time he is dealt damage with the addition of “When this creature deals damage, sacrifice it.” is put into play. Vrondiss ability is based on self-inflicting damage and is also linked to dice. This commander is based on a mechanic that is more focused in the Dungeons&Dragons edition, the rolling of a die. The main commander of the “dragon-themed” deck is Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients, a green-red dragon barbarian (3RG). Also, again included is a life point counter, ranging from 0 to 40. The light effect on the scales is designed in the colours that the respective commander possesses. A draconic scale armour covers the front and back of the deck box, matching the Dungeons and Dragons theme. If you take a first look at the packaging of the respective set, the first thing that catches your eye is the unusual design. The four decks are called Planar Portal, Dungeons of Death, Draconic Rage and Aura of Courage. Two of these decks, which have already been released, will be examined in the following article. In the course of the big Magic the Gathering spoiler for the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms-edition, the first cards for four Commander decks were presented in advance. | © Psyonix Rocket League Ranked 3v3 Distribution Stats The Rank Distribution is a bit different for all Rocket League game modes. In 2v2, players who do rank generally sit somewhere around Champion I, significantly higher than what most solo players can ever achieve. This actually doesn't reflect on the total number of players, though, as this game mode seems to be more popular right now. The first thing to note is that there is a decrease in the number of Supersonic Legend-ranked players here. This one is a little different to what we saw with 1v1 players. Rocket League Ranked 2v2 Distribution Statsįollowing is the rank distribution for 2v2 ranked players in Rocket League. There is a very strict central cluster, indicating that 1v1 is one of the most popular modes, with it also having some of the highest numbers of Rocket League players. The thing about this 1v1 rank distribution is that you can see that most people are either between the ranks of Gold III and Platinum III, or are still unranked. Are you curious about how MMR works in Rocket League?.We will continue to update this, as well as the other two lists in this article, after each new Season of Rocket League launches. All active Rocket League codes and how to redeem them. Now, rewards are admittedly provided to players as they work through the various ranks in Rocket League, but if those same rewards are not worth the effort, then you're inevitably going to see a drop-off in players. If you see that people are dropping off early, then Psyonix probably need to put in a bit more effort in than simply reskinning a Battle Car next season. | © PsyonixĪs players progress through seasons and seasons of Rocket League's new content, their rank distribution tells us a lot about how the player-base is liking the game. If you ever wondered about Rank Distribution in Rocket League. In this article, we'll show you what the Rank Distribution for season 10 looks like, and explain what percentage of players you're in. If you had the Gold Crown, you wouldn't get the Silver or Bronze rewards.Rank Distribution is a very fascinating topic in Rocket League, as it is an indication of how much the game is being played. The rewards were not cumulative, and you only got the reward of your rank and nothing lower. For example, if you wanted the Gold Crown, you needed to end in Gold I through Gold III. In order to acquire these rewards, one would have needed to end in the rank they want the reward in.

That’s how we brought the Tim Bergling Foundation to life, with the goal of contributing to young people’s mental health, lowering the rate of suicide among young people as well as removing the stigma around it. Tim was always interested in psychology and spirituality, and we wanted to honor him by doing what we could to help others. The scale of mental health issues among young people is staggering. Many people told us that Tim and his songs meant a lot to them and they felt like they knew him, which I think they did in a sense. Some who were in similar situations, but also a lot of fans who’d been following him throughout the years. Klas: After Tim’s suicide, a lot of people reached out to us. He performed brilliantly at both shows - they were such great evenings.Īfter Tim passed away, you and your wife Anki started the Tim Bergling Foundation. When I came to find him backstage afterwards, he was so glad I came.Īn especially proud moment was also when Tim played in Globen Arena, today named Avicii Arena in effort to bring more attention to mental health, and I decided to sit completely by myself to take in the experience, as well as when the whole family went to watch him play at the festival “Summerburst” at Stockholm Olympic Stadium. It was a great evening and I remember feeling surprised, amazed and very proud. He’d told me explicitly to not come - maybe because it wasn’t very cool to have your father around at that age - but I went anyway and hid behind a tree. In terms of his musical accomplishments, I will never forget when he played in a park called Strömparterren in Stockholm in the early days of his career. Klas: Tim was such a special person, I was always proud of him for just being the person he was. Were there any moments you were especially proud of Tim during his career? Tim produced more melodic songs over the years, with “Bromance” being one of the big eye-openers to his talent for me personally. It was an “aha moment” - this is really music - and I started needing it to get me going. When I started taking power walks back in the early days of Tim’s career, listening to his music, I realized what beautiful melodies were captured within the songs. He really lived in the moment when doing that, and it was times like this I initially understood there was something special there.īeing part of a generation that didn’t grow up with house music, I used to view it as a monotonous, repetitive beat. Klas: When Tim was about 10-years-old, he sang the Swedish national anthem at full capacity. Was there a moment when you understood how musically talented he was? He had a special set of attributes, and if you watched the documentary about his life, I think you can also tell he wasn’t really built for fame in the way he was exposed to it.ĭespite his success and fame, he remained humble and treated people with kindness and equal respect. Klas: Tim was a kind and open person, full of energy, stubbornness and integrity. Tell us about Tim in your own words - how do you remember him? To remember Tim on this day as well as learn more about mental health, we talked to Tim’s father Klas Bergling. In his memory, Tim’s father Klas and his mother Anki started a foundation to raise awareness and address the stigma of mental health among young people - Tim Bergling Foundation. In 2018, Tim passed away at 28-years-old from suicide after struggling with mental health issues. From producing hit songs that topped international charts to headlining festivals around the world, Tim will forever be remembered as one of the pioneers and most influential visionaries of electronic dance music. Today’s Google Doodle celebrates the life and legacy of Swedish DJ, record producer and songwriter Tim Bergling - also known by his stage name, Avicii - on what would have been his 32nd birthday. If you have devices that won't play 5.1 and don't want or need to encode the video then I suggest you look at Xmedia Recode. This way in the den I can use surround and in the bedrooms it automatically plays as stereo. Personally, I use Emby to organize my video content and play it back on my TV through my Firestick 4K which supports 5.1 channel audio and many video codecs so for me there is no need to waste time making a stereo track. There are many options here you just have to do a little research. I use MCEBuddy to encode recorded TV and ripped discs into mp4 in an MKV container.and extract the subs, convert them to SRT and put them back into the video container for ease of use. If all you are doing is changing the audio track then Xmedia Recode is probably your best bet. Personally I only use Avidemux as an editor and then use MCEBuddy, Xmedia Recode, or FFmpeg Batch AV Converter to do any other operations. What kind of video file are you working with? There are plenty of tools to do what you want. What I especially liked is that I can arrange the ISO files into whatever folders I want to to sort them by function, I was not limited to just the folders that E2B provides. I used the Ventoy tool VentoyPlugson.exe to change the default layout to TREE view and the interface to TEXT instead of the GUI, it boots fast, scans the drive for ISO files quickly and presents a nice simple view of my ISO files. Unlike AGFM it would scan for and find all the ISO files. I was more than pleased with the simplicity of it all. So one Saturday afternoon I checked out the full Ventoy system out and used it on a spare USB stick. I always had to use Ventoy to boot to Windows installation ISOs. I used it with the Ventoy and AGFM extensions he introduced but you still had to boot to AGFM to get to Ventoy, and it seems that Ventoy booted everything that I needed. I've used E2B since Steve first introduced it years ago With the decline of MBR booting the E2B itself has become less and less useful. G4D has a UEFI loader called G4E, I wonder why the E2B maintainer hasn't added it to the mix of available options. Then I'll have to get used to booting stuff in UEFI only. However, soon I'll be building a gaming desktop that will likely have a mobo that only support UEFI class 3, which means no legacy booting at all. That might work too, but I've never used it. I completely forgot that E2B also supports Ventoy, as well as al1ve's loader. If I need to get to a VC encrypted drive outside the OS I boot to WinPE and launch VC from it. I have a WinPE that boots off an ISO file, so I put the WinPE ISO on my Ventoy drive. I use VC for secondary drive / partition encryption. Put your ISO files for the VC recovery onto the 1st partition named Ventoy, the actual EFI partition that Ventoy loads with is hidden. This will destroy the contents of the USB drive. Download Ventoy and run the Ventoy2Disk.exe. If you have a spare USB stick just give it a try, it's one of the easiest multibooters to setup out there. I would imagine that Ventoy would work just fine booting to the VC ISO files, it has not failed me yet on various ISOs I've booted to. As with ANY OS, especially encrypted ones, make backups regularly. I use VeraCrypt, but I do not use it to encrypt my OS partitions, I've had to many problems with stuff like Windows updates messing it up. If you need to boot in UEFI mode, then there is not enough information on the VeraCrypt Rescue Disk page for me to provide any help or advice. iso files (one for each image - and I'm guessing here). menu.lst entry -Īssuming you have 2 veracrypt. I've never used Veracrypt, however based on a quick look here, recovery/rescue media for MBR type disks uses GRUB4DOS.īased on a quick look at the menu.lst entry in VeraCryptUsbRescueDisk.zip, it should be relatively easy to create a rescue disk with entries for 2 veracrypt. |
